This is a True Story.

About 10 years ago, my father's friend was near Boston,
visiting friends in late October. He took his daughter out
trick-or-treating. About half hour into it, they went up to a
big house. The sign above the door read,
"Vesto Manor - 1906".
There was no one else around this house, which although
he found to be odd. The knocked on the door, but no one
answered. They were about to go to the next house when
he heard an eerie voice call out. He thought it was saying,
"around the back...come to the back."

He told his daughter to wait on the front porch while he
checked out who was talking. There was nothing around
the back, so he went back to get his daughter, but she
wasn't there. He called out her name, but no one answered.
The he saw it. With horror stretched across his face
as he read the words,
"She's Home Now"
written in what looked to be fresh blood.

He rapped on the door, but it was locked shut. He called out,
but no one heard. He rushed home, trying to figure out what
to tell his wife when he got home. He bust in the door and to
his shock and amazement, there was his daughter and wife
sitting on the couch watching tv. He asked what happened
to her, but she looked confused. She said,
"But daddy, I never went trick-or-treating with you.
You left about 30 minutes ago by yourself!"

He was trying to figure out what was going on when he
noticed the newspaper sitting on the mantle. The articled on
the cover read, "This Halloween is the 50th anniversary of
the dissappearance of 10-year-old Rita Vester, who lived in
the old Vestor Manor." Then he saw the picture...
it looked just like his own daughter."
